SCALEBONE is an innovative and custom-made synthetic bone. This product is made of polyurethane that can be used for implant testing, workshop for medical students and education purposes. Unlike other product that available in the market such as Sawbones (USA) and Synbone (Swiss), the SCALEBONE are low cost and mimicking the geometrical condition of Asian population. Several main important features of SCALEBONE are includes (1) mechanical strength similar to cancellous bone, (2) similar structure with real bone and (3) mimicking the real geometrical condition of Asian population. Furthermore, due to low-cost product, the SCALEBONE can be used to replace amputee limb in the further development.
